I want to first say thank you for your patience and support as we completed the recount process. Our goal was to ensure every voter’s voice was heard, and that is what happened.

Although we came up short, and this wasn’t the outcome we fought so hard for, I want you to know that every bit of energy, dedication, and hope you poured into this campaign has been meaningful beyond words.

We knew this journey wouldn’t be easy. We understood the odds from the start, yet we pressed forward together – fueled by a shared belief in a better Iowa and a brighter future for IA-01. We knocked on doors, made countless calls, and connected with our neighbors, building a movement rooted in hope, courage, and integrity. And though the results weren’t what we had hoped, that strength we built, that hope we shared, remains.

The work we did together will carry on. This race was one of the three closest in the country, and despite Trump winning the district by more than eight points, we fell short of my opponent by only 0.19% – or about 800 votes out of 413,000. We built a field program that knocked over 115,000 doors and made over 237,000 direct voter contact attempts. We even outperformed Harris-Walz by 8.2% in the district – more than any other Red-to-Blue candidate in the country.

I am profoundly grateful for every one of you, and I am deeply honored to have had you by my side. Let’s hold our heads high, regroup, and carry this momentum forward. Our work isn’t done – it’s just beginning.

With gratitude,

Christina
